Itinerary:
Welcome to your multi-adventure tour in Connemara! We’ll kick things off today with a complimentary transfer from Galway Train Station – or you can simply meet us at base camp in Clifden. Today you can check into your accommodation at 3 pm. After joining up with your local host and fellow travellers for a short welcome meeting, you’ll head out for a guided walk in the local area, this truly unique experience and learn about the Connemara way of life. Once bonded, we’ll enjoy some authentic Irish food (Lamb stew, Fish Pie that sort of thing) We’ll even get to give our compliments to the chef, who’ll take us through the menu and explain all of those quintessential local flavours.
Get your boots on this morning: today’s the day we conquer the peak of Diamond Hill (trails for all levels of fitness) for phenomenal views of Connemara Mountains, lakes, valleys, rivers and ocean. After a tough but rewarding morning, we’ll take a breather over a picnic lunch at mid-station. We’ll get the adventure vibes rolling again this afternoon as it’s time to get the wetsuit on for an amazing sea kayaking trip. This tour is a fantastic introduction to exploring Killary Fjord, one of only 3 glacial fjords in Ireland and one of the key signature points along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. If you think you’ve experienced Ireland at its best, wait until you view it away from land – a truly magical experience. Tonight, we’ll wind down another delicious included dinner. Baby Guinness, anyone?
Yesterday we conquered Connemara on foot; today it’s all about two wheels. That’s right, we’re kicking off our third day with a locally guided mountain biking tour. From the village of Letterfrack, we head out along the amazing Atlantic coastline before turning inland, where you will experience rugged Connemara in all its splendour. Our recommended lunch stop today is in the small rural village of Tullycross, where they serve some amazing seafood. After lunch, you will again experience some coastal cycling, before moving inland through some wonderful lakes towards our base for the evening, It’s our final night, so let’s make it one to remember. At our farewell dinner in Clifden, we’ll reflect on the adventures we’ve had and swap stories over some local beer. We won’t forget you in a hurry, Connemara.
Group hugs and heartfelt goodbyes will mark the end of our trip after one last breakfast today. Wrap things up with a complimentary transfer to Galway Train Station or you can choose to make your own arrangements. Whatever the case, you will leave with a new home away from home in Connemara.
